We had a wonderful stay at Sossusvlei Lodge. The dinners and breakfasts were one of the highlighs, personnel friendly and accommodation nice.

I am not in the habit of repeating holidays but after my visit last year with my sons I told my wife that I would hate to think that she had missed out so I came back a year later with her. She was bowled over by the experience. This is a special place run by dedicated people who want you to have great memories. No detail is not attended to. The food is excellent. If you think of the logistical nightmare of serving fresh salad and fruit in the middle of no where you will understand the standard they set themselves. Put this on your bucket list!

I actually can't fault Sossusvlei Lodge on anything. From the time we arrived until we left we experienced exceptional facilities and friendly staff.

The setting is very special, and i suppose that is what you pay for, but the accomodation is expensive for what you get, and rather basic. Food was good, and dinner experience was great. You should also be allowed into the part earlier than 6.15am, as by the time you get to the dunes it is around 7.30am and the sun is already quite high.

On arrival at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge and Canon Lodge, rooms were ready and payments confirmed. All went without any trouble.

This is the best hotel in the desert. What an awesome place. I like the way the hotel is built to blend in with the surrounds. Dont forget to hike to the top of dune 13.
