Namib Desert Lodge Reviews

Fantastic
Yes out trip was fantastic. We had such a memorable journey but after shopping in Walvis bay and purchasing R1500 groceries – we arrived at Namib desert lodge only to find out that they were not self catering. We were under the impression that the lodge is self catering. It was a crisis which us three ladies dealt with and with the help of the management of the lodge managed to sort all our things out. We borrowed plates and bought a cooler box for all our stuff. We also went to a nearby camp site to braai.

Very good and friendly lodge. Will go back there someday.

That special place we went to.....
What a lovely place! The extreme friendliness and professionalism of the staff was most impressive. I just loved the setting of the Lodge by foot end of the mountain(dune), the whole decor and everything seems so perfect. A place to remember for sure!

Stay at Namib Desert Lodge
We had a most wonderful experience at the lodge. We arrived after dark and had the most beautiful view of a flood-lit mountain. As Tecla had broken her leg just before we left on our trip, we were given 2 family rooms closer to the dining area, as our booked rooms were quite a way to go by wheelchair. The facilities were wheelchair-friendly, the innercourt garden was a joy, the food good and the staff friendly and helpful. To be highly recommended.

Splendid Namib Trip
We were most surprised by this accommodation. It is in a beautifully setting. Stunning rooms. The friendliest staff ever and the dinners were GREAT!!

It is a bit far from Sossusvlei and the road was very bad, but we did travel in a sedan motor - just took it slower.
