The main building and the chalets of Namib Desert Lodge are spread out along the foot of the 'fossilized' dunes of the ancient Namib. A comfortable sojourn is guaranteed by 55 en suite rooms.

A restaurant and bar, an inviting terrace with views of the fossilized dunes and two swimming pools beckon you to linger and relax. Oryx antelope and springbok make frequent appearances at our illuminated watering place.

Namib Desert Lodge, at the foot of red 'fossilised' dunes, is the perfect starting point to explore the Namib Desert on a Dune Drive in the Gondwana Namib Park or to visit the nearby Sossusvlei.

"Yes out trip was fantastic. We had such a memorable journey but after shopping in Walvis bay and purchasing R1500 groceries ? we arrived at Namib desert lodge only to find out that they were not self catering. We were under the impression that the lodge is self catering. It was a crisis which us three ladies dealt with and with the help of the management of the lodge managed to sort all our things out. We borrowed plates and bought a cooler box for all our stuff. We also went to a nearby camp site to braai. Very good and friendly lodge. Will go back there someday."
