Omaruru

The darling café on the main street, Sand Dragon, is a lovely gathering spot for families and artists alike and supports local artists and regional products which are on sale in their cuisine and curio shop. Indulge in the delicious decadent locally produced chocolates from the Dörgeloh Chocolate factory, or spend a day at Kristall Kellerei, producers of wine, brandy and Schnapps, and also offers wine tasting tours.
The fascinating variety of vegetation, rock art, birdlife and wildlife found in the Erongo Mountains makes it one of the richest ecological regions in Namibia. Climb the gigantic rock formations to explore the rock paintings, visit the singing rock and dinosaur tracks, or discover the prolific bird species. Go on a hunting expedition or just enjoy viewing the animals on a game drive.
