Also visit Etosha which consists of 22 270 km of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, and is one of the largest parks in Africa. DAY 1 WINDHOEK - ONGUMA NATURE RESERVE

Depart Windhoek on a charter flight to Etosha National Park, from the Mokuti airstrip you travel to Onguma Tented Camp.

The Onguma reserve consists of 20 000ha of savannah, bushveld, omuramba and dry pan. Age-old and well-worn migration routes, once used by elephant and buffalo, wander through Onguma's three dry riverbeds. The reserve boasts over thirty different animal species. Plains game roam freely on the reserve and predators, although not easy to spot, are nevertheless common residents of the area.

Overnight Onguma Tented Camp.

DAY 2 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

After a leisurely breakfast, depart on a game drive. You have the option of spending the entire day or only for the morning.

Etosha consists of 22 270 km of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, and is one of the largest parks in Africa. Its definitive feature is the pan, a vast, shallow depression of approximately 5 000 km. Of the 114 mammal species found in the park, several are rare and endangered, such as the Black Rhino and Black-Faced Impala. After the game drive return to Onguma for a relaxed afternoon and sundowners.

Overnight Onguma Tented Camp.

DAY 3 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - DAMARALAND

After breakfast depart for Damaraland (where you land at noon). Lunch is followed by some leisure time and an afternoon excursion to the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein. Return to the camp for sundowners and dinner. Overnight Mowani Mountain Camp.

Note: An alternative to this day would be an excursion to the Kunene region. After breakfast fly to Ruacana where you will have the opportunity to visit the Himba people. From Ruacana you head to Epupa for a birds-eye-view of the falls before returning to Mowani, arriving in time for sundowners. This alternative option (detour) would be at an additional cost.

DAY 4 DAMARALAND & TWYFEFONTEIN

Spend the day exploring Twyfelfontein and its surrounds. Return to the camp for lunch and enjoy a leisurely afternoon alongside the pool. Alternatively join a game drive down the riverbed in search for the rare Desert elephant.

Overnight Mowani Mountain Camp.

DAY 5 DAMARALAND - SWAKOPMUND - NAMIB RAND

After breakfast you will fly to the coastal town of Swakopmund. On arrival embark a short city tour (or even an activity like quad biking) - time permitting and at own expense. Then continue towards the NamibRand Nature Reserve. This flight is exceptionally scenic; it will take you along the coast to Sandwich harbor, over the towering dunes of Sossusvlei to Wolwedans.

Overnight Wolwedans Dunes Lodge.

DAY 6 NAMIB RAND NATURE RESERVE

After breakfast, depart on a full day safari on the NamibRand Nature Reserve (with a delicious picnic lunch served en-route - optional & season dependant). Absorb the unique NamibRand Nature Reserve landscape with its endless grassy plains and mystical mountain formations and dunes.

Overnight Wolwedans Dunes Lodge.

DAY 7 NAMIB RAND NATURE RESERVE

Today you have a full day at leisure. You can either enjoy a morning and/or afternoon excursion or just relax the entire day. Alternatively, enjoy a hot air balloon trip in the early morning - after an early rise and one hour in the air you enjoy a Champagne breakfast on the landing spot. The afternoon can be spent at leisure.

Overnight Wolwedans Dunes Lodge.

DAY 8 NAMIB RAND NATURE RESERVE - WINDHOEK

Transfer to airstrip for return flight to Windhoek.
