DAY 1 - SATURDAY WINDHOEK - KALAHARI DESERT

Depart Windhoek, drive via Rehoboth and into the Kalahari Desert. Scenic sunset drive (in open vehicles).

Overnight in the Kalahari Desert.

DAY 2 - SUNDAY KALAHARI DESERT- FISH RIVER CANYON

Drive through Kalahari, see Kokerboom (Quiver tree) forest near Keetmanshoop. View the Fish River Canyon's spectacular northern fringes.

Overnight near Fish River Canyon.

DAY 3 - MONDAY FISH RIVER CANYON - LUDERITZ

Travel to Aus. Possibility to see feral horses on entering Namib Desert. Arrive in Luderitz around midday. Afternoon scenic drive around peninsula.

Overnight in Luderitz.

DAY 4 - TUESDAY LUDERITZ - MALTAHOHE

Visit Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond town and museum. Visit Duwisib Castle in the afternoon.

Continue to Maltahohe region for overnight.

DAY 5 - WEDNESDAY MALTAHOHE - NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK

Early start to visit Sossusvlei. Undertake 4x4 scenic drive into the heart of the Namib Desert. Visit Sesriem Canyon and Solitaire en route past Naukluft Mountains.

Overnight near Namib Naukluft Park.

DAY 6 - THURSDAY NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK - SWAKOPMUND

Drive through Kuiseb Canyon towards coast. Enjoy a packed lunch. See the 'Welwitschia Mirabilis' plants said to grow older than a 1000 years and visit Moon Landscape. Arrive in Swakopmund late afternoon.

Overnight in Swakopmund.

DAY 7 - FRIDAY SWAKOPMUND (UNESCORTED)

Visit Walvis Bay lagoon in the morning. Afternoon at leisure in Swakopmund. Book an optional day tour.

Overnight in Swakopmund.

DAY 8 - SATURDAY SWAKOPMUND (UNESCORTED)

Day at leisure.

Overnight in Swakopmund.

DAY 9 - SUNDAY SWAKOPMUND - DAMARALAND

Early departure towards Henties Bay. Visit Twyfelfontein and the Organ Pipes en-route to Damaraland. Packed lunch. Arrive at remote lodge in the afternoon.

Overnight in Damaraland.

DAY 10 - MONDAY DAMARALAND

Morning nature drive in rocky Damaraland, one of the last wilderness areas in Africa. Lunch. Guided walk in the afternoon, or at leisure.

DAY 11 - TUESDAY DAMARALAND - OTJIWARONGO

Depart Damaraland, one of the last real wilderness areas in Africa. Visit a Himba tribe near Kamanjab and learn more about these nomadic people. See Dinosaur tracks and continue to a private game farm.

Overnight near Otjiwarongo at private game lodge.

DAY 12 - WEDNESDAY OTJIWARONGO - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Continue via Outjo to Etosha National Park. Game drive en route.

Overnight at private accommodation outside Etosha National Park, or at rest camp inside the Park.

DAY 13 - THURSDAY ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Full day in the park, exploring waterholes along this vast saltpan.

Overnight at private lodge on eastern border of Etosha National Park.

DAY 14 - FRIDAY ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Full day in the park. Depart late afternoon.

Overnight at private lodge on eastern border of Etosha National Park.

DAY 15 - SATURDAY ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - WINDHOEK

Visit Lake Otjikoto and then continue via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Visit Herero graves and local handicraft market. Arrive in Windhoek, late afternoon, where tour ends.
