Auob Lodge

Auob Lodge is a fabulous green oasis set up in the gorgeous Kalahari landscape on the dry banks of Auob river. The quaint town Gochas is a mere 6 kilometers from the lodge. The lodge is the perfect stop-over for travellers going to the south, taking them on route to Keetmanshoop and Quivertree forest.

Auob Lodge has 26 beautiful en-suite double bedrooms, a lapa, TV room, lounge with lovely fireplace for those chilly winter evenings and a restaurant. There is a bar at your disposal if you are in need of a refreshment.

Auob Lodge allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the desert and lets you discover the fabulous surrounding area by foot. Guests can cool off in the large sparkling swimming pool on those warmer days and sit back on the green lawns.

The marvelous red dunes found in the Kalahari are a beautiful contrast against the white calcareous rocks the valley has formed from the Auob river. The area is approximately 8000ha and has various giraffe, antelope, small mammals and fabulous bird species. The plants in the area are all well adapted to their harsh surroundings and conditions of the Kalahari.
