Onguma Tented Camp

The Onguma Tented Camp is situated on the eastern edge of Etosha, Namibia. From this location, guests have easy access to many of Namibia’s main attractions. The camp itself is situated inside the Onguma Private Game Reserve, which occupies over 20,000 hectares of protected land!

Literally translated, ‘Onguma’ means ‘Place you don’t want to leave’. And this certainly describes this tranquil haven well! The Onguma Tented Camp is an idyllic getaway. For wildlife enthusiasts, the Onguma Nature Reserve is a treat. We have a family of black rhino’s as well as giraffe, zebra, lions and more!

Seven luxurious tents each have a spectacular view of the infinite wilderness surrounding the camp. Our tents have been designed with comfort in mind, from the spacious lounge area to the little details. Robes, fine cotton towels and luxurious linens are all part of the package. Each tent has both an indoor and outdoor shower. The u-shape of the camp provides ample privacy for all guests.

In the harsh Namibian climate, it’s difficult to imagine working up a sweat! Spend your days relaxing on our grounds, or dipping into the inviting rim flow pool. Viewing wildlife is easy from this vantage point you are guaranteed to see some typical African wildlife. Guests are encouraged to go on game drives, which are offered both day and night, as well as outings to the nearby Etosha Game reserve.
